BRITISH COLUMBIA ARTISTS

VANCOUVER ART GALLERY

FIFTEENTH ANNUAL
BRITISH COLUMBIA ARTISTS' EXHIBITION

SEPTEMBER 21st TO OCTOBER 13th, 1946

A ONE-MAN JURY SHOW

             FOREWORD

The 15th Annual B.C. Artists' Exhibition, of which this is the catalogue, represents a new departure by the Exhibition Committee insofar as the method of judging the entries is concerned. For this Exhibition the Committee decided to ask a Professor of Art from the University of Washington to examine the many entries submitted and decide on his own responsibility which of them justified a place on the Gallery walls.

The committee wishes to express its thanks to the Judge for his labours on their behalf which, it is hoped, will meet with the general approval both of the exhibitors themselves and of visitors to the Exhibition.

             LAWREN HARRIS,
Chairman, Exhibition Committee.

September 21st, 1946.
