Barbara Erwyn Mather exhibited artwork in the B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1936 to 1939, 1943, 1944, and 1946. The artist was living in Vancouver.

She was listed in the 1941-42 Prospectus of the H. Faulkner Smith School of Applied and Fine Art as being "commended" in her second year at the school.

Mather died in Qualicum Beach in 1989 at the age of 76, according to BC Vital Statistics on-line (August 2014).
