Ann Spilsbury was an early graduate from the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts, receiving her diploma in 1932.

The Spring 1936 edition of The Smock Pocket, the Vancouver School of Art Graduates' Association newsletter, noted that she "is now Mrs. K.V. Herrmann. Her wedding was on April 6th, 1935 and she is now living at Lilloet (sic) Rd., Port Haney." The same newsletter also noted the arrival of the couple's first child, "the infant son of Ann Spilsbury Herrmann, '32, who was born on January 28, 1936."

Ann had work in the 1932 B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. She later exhibited under the name Ann P. Herrmann, with an address of Haney, in the annual B.C. Artists exhibitions in 1945, 1946, 1947, and 1949. She died in Haney in 1970 at the age of 58.
