Sybil Henley Jacobson was born in London, England. She came to Canada c1911, and to BC 25 years after that. She was married to Johann Jacobson.

She exhibited artwork in the B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery from 1937 to 1947. The artist lived in Vancouver from 1936, where she died in 1953 at the age of 72. Her occupation was noted as "at home."
