David Marlon Lambert was born in Vancouver. He exhibited artwork in the B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1946. The artist was living in Vancouver in 1946, and in 1955 was living on Lulu Island (now Richmond).

c1956 he wrote a pamphlet on west coast designs on hand made pottery. He was the President and Manager of Lambert Potteries Ltd. in Vancouver, which was on Fraser Street in 1955.

Lambert was married to Elfrida Vivien Plimmer and living in Sardis when he died in 1985.
