He exhibited his work in the B.C. Artists annuals at the Vancouver Art Gallery from 1944 through to 1950, 1952, and 1954.
He exhibited in the 1948 Atelier Club Ninth Annual Exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
McLeish died in Vancouver in 1970 at the age of 81. His occupation was noted as "Teacher" from which he had retired in 1955. He was married to Madge Goody.
