Marjorie Aldred was born in London, England. After arriving in BC she married Frederick Aldred in Oyama on May 5 1927, according to B.C. Vital Statistics on-line.

She exhibited in the annual B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery from 1940 to 1947. Entry forms listed her as living in Oyama and then Vernon, B.C.

She had work in the Federation of Canadian Artists Third Traveling Exhibition in 1947.

Aldred died in Vernon in 1999 at the age of 96. Her occupation was noted as retired orchardist.
