He exhibited work in the annual B.C. Artists exhibitions from 1932 to 1960, although not every year. He had a solo exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1936.
He lived in Vancouver until his wife Winnifred Cope died in 1967, then moved to Oyama, BC, where he died in 1970 at the age of 91. His death certificate noted that he had retired in 1960.
