Doris M. Roe was born in Croydon, England. She moved to BC c1931, and to Victoria 13 years later.

She exhibited artwork in the B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1945, 1946, and 1947. The artist was living in Victoria or Cadboro Bay.

Roe died in Victoria in 1972 at the age of 76, her occupation was noted as "Housewife - At Home."
