Thomas H. Emerson exhibited at the Vancouver Exhibition from 1930 to 1932, representing the Vancouver Sketch Club. In 1939 he had a solo exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

He exhibited work in the 1944 British Columbia At Work exhibition at the Gallery.

He was one of the "rejectees" from the 14th Annual B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery who had their rejected work hung in protest at the Galloway-Dorbil Gallery on Granville Street.
