About
GARY SIM ARTWORK MOSAIC

I started doing pen and ink artwork over 50 years ago, and the earliest linocut print
that I still have is dated Christmas 1970.
My preferred drawing medium for many years was Bristol Board, plate finish, and I still do some
drawings on paper purchased over 40 years ago. More recently I have tried drawing on illustration board,
OPUS coated drawing paper, onion-skin paper, translucent vellum, Eco-jot recycled notebook paper,
and BFK Rives 100% cotton paper from France. For making prints I finally settled on using Arches
Text Wove, 120 gsm paper, also from France, or Kozuke White Heavy kozo paper from Japan.
