A view near my apartment, in a harbourside neighbourhood that is slowly
transitioning from old-style low-rise residences into new high rises. The old house
is next door to the former "girl's residence" on Bute Street, the scene of many
hormonally-charged Friday and Saturday night dating scenes. The boys had to be out of
the building by 10:00 p.m., and the girls had a code-word to let each other know
if a guy was still in the building while the Manager prowled the corridors with a guard dog.
The edition consists of 30 prints on white BFK Rives 185 gsm paper, hand printed
by the artist with Daniel Smith black block printing ink,
using an antique hand press. All prints are editioned, titled, signed and dated
by the artist in pencil, with artist's monogram in the plate lower right. This has
been a popular print, exhibited and published, and only a few impressions are left.
