I designed and cut this linocut relief print based on a photograph of a hummingbird
that I took on Mayne Island in 2015. I was staying with friends, they had flowers growing
all over the place, and the place was alive with hummingbirds.
The edition is printed on Arches Text Wove paper 120 gsm.
All impressions were hand printed by the artist with Caligo Safe Wash Furnace Carbon Black
relief printing ink, using an antique J. Smart copy press. All prints are hand
coloured with Pitt artist India ink brush pens. All prints are
titled, editioned, signed and dated by the artist in pencil, and monogrammed in the plate.
