This is a view of a flower bed in Barclay Heritage Park. When I was walking to work one day the morning light was glowing on these flowers, and I thought that I would "try my hand" at a flower linocut. While attempting to print the large image, I also tried colouring the flowers afterwards by hand with watercolour and with india ink brush pen. Doing them individually was a bit tedious, so I tried doing a rolled-out underlay of yellow printing ink over the whole sheet, then overprinted that with the block. The result was not what I expected.
