WAYZGOOSE MMXI

I created this print as a keepsake for the 2011 Alcuin Society WAYZGOOSE letterpress printing fair.
The press illustrated is basically a simplified version of the antique nipping press that I use to
edition all of my relief prints. I printed more copies of this keepsake and distributed them at
the 2017 Waygoose. The open edition, handed out for free at the Wayzgoose, was printed on Arches Text Wove
paper, 120 gsm, hand printed by the artist with Caligo Safe Wash Furnace Carbon Black
relief printing ink, using an antique nipping press. The prints were hand-tinted with
india ink brush pen. All prints are signed and dated by the artist in pencil, and monogrammed
in the image: SIM.
