John Verral

John Verral was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He moved to BC c1923. He was the son of artist Minnie Olive Verral.

He was a student at the short-lived BC College of Arts in Vancouver, attending the stage-craft and theatre-arts classes in 1933-34. The classes produced a modern adaption to Ben Jonson's comedy play Volpone at the College in January 1934, the play was well received by the press.

He exhibited artwork with the B.C. Society of Fine Arts in 1936. He exhibited work in the 1948 annual B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. He was living in North Vancouver.

Verral died in North Vancouver in 1953 at the age of 41. His occupation was noted as "Salesman - Building Materials."
