Amy Collis was born in Victoria in 1892. She exhibited with the Island Arts and Crafts Society from 1911 to 1925 as Muriel Collis, and from 1927 to 1941 as Muriel C. Hanna.

She married Stirling (also Sterling) Hanna (q.v.) August 16, 1926.

She exhibited work as Muriel Hanna at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the 1933 Vancouver Island Exhibition.
