R. Rolleston West

R. Rolleston West was born in London, England in 1894. He exhibited artwork at Bonn-am-Rhein in Germany in 1913. He exhibited artwork in the 1934 B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Who's Who in Northwest Art notes that West was a painter in water colour and black and white; was a student at Bonn University, Germany; trained at the Vancouver School of Art and Federal Art School in Los Angeles; and was a student of Frederick Varley's. He was living at 3641 Cameron Avenue in Vancouver, B.C. in 1941. See also Barbara West, living at same address.
