Who's Who in Northwest Art noted that he was a painter in oil and pastel, and was working as a freelance artist in Vancouver in 1941.
He exhibited work in the B.C. Artists annuals at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1932, 1933, and from 1937 to 1940. He won a Beatrice Stone medal in 1937 for an oil painting. He was in a group exhibition at the Gallery in 1939, exhibiting with 5 other artists including J. Delisle Parker and Emily Carr.
