Unity Douglas Cadoux Baile (Mrs.)
(nee Watney, m Wynne Jeffreys Baile)
January 5 1883 - December 28 1957
Baile was born in Richmond, England. She arrived in Canada
c1910 and settled in Victoria, where she lived all of her life.
She married Wynne Jeffreys Baile in Victoria on Feburary 19, 1916.
Her husband was a draughtsman, born in South Wales, UK. She
exhibited with the ISLAND ARTS AND CRAFTS
SOCIETY from 1917 to 1941.
In 1932 Baile was a signatory to an agreement to boycott the
National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa for their exhibition and
purchase policies related to Canadian artists. She was noted
as being a Victoria artist.
She died a widow in Victoria at the age of 74, her occupation
noted as "housewife."
