Alexander Nicolaief Tschaikovsky was born in Odessa, Russia, in 1893, and took art training in private studios at Harbin, China. Card file at the Vancouver Art Gallery Library gives first names as Alexsander, and the notation "Miss".

Exhibited in the annual B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1936, 1937, 1938, and 1941, and was living at 630 Alberta Street, Burnaby, in 1941. B.C. Vital Statistics on-line provides no information on this artist as of June 2021.

In 1977 the artist was living in Kelowna.
