Vivian R. Timms showed work in the 1944 British Columbia At Work exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery, and also had work in the 1943 and 1945 B.C. Artists annual exhibitions. The artist may be the same as V. Timms, listed separately as a member of the Vancouver Sketch Club.

Timms was one of the "rejectees" from the 14th Annual B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery who had their rejected work hung in protest at the Galloway-Dorbil Gallery on Granville Street.
