Louis Charles Springett
1853 - April 5 1940
 
Louis Charles Springett was born in Bruges, Belgium in 1853. He was educated in Bath, 
Somerset and at the South Kensington School of Art. 
After immigrating to Canada in 1902 he settled in the Cowichan Valley on 
Vancouver Island.
He exhibited work with the Vancouver Exhibition in 
1926. He also exhibited work with the Island Arts and Crafts 
Society from 1916 to 1930, and at the Cowichan Fall Fair 
in Duncan between 1902 and 1931.
He died in Victoria in 1940 at the age of 86.
