Charles Murray exhibited work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the B.C. Artists exhibitions from 1933 to 1939. Entry forms noted that he was living in Vancouver.

He was a member of the West Vancouver Sketch Club in 1966-67. In 1977 the artist was living in Sechelt.
