John (Jack) Leslie Grundle

John L. Grundle was born in Coleman, Alberta. His family came to BC the next year and he went to school at Powell River. He served with the RCAF overseas for 3-1/2 years during World War Two.

He exhibited artwork in the 1948 annual B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

He worked as a commercial artist at advertising agencies and for Western Fish and Game magazine. He and his wife Lia moved to Campbell River 15 years before his death.
