The Vancouver Public Library (VPL) maintains files on a number of
British Columbia artists at its Library Square Branch downtown. The
Library has posted an index to these files on their website. The actual
files have been relocated in the main downtown branch into Special
Collections, where they must be requested. As of August 28 2010 there were approximately 1,350 artists listed in the VPL index, all of whom were cross-referenced into BRITISH COLUMBIA ARTISTS with the abbreviation VPL.
