Denver Laredo Gillen was born in Vancouver in 1914, and died in 1975.

He showed work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the B.C. Artists exhibitions in 1933 and 1934.

A list of "students successfully placed as artists" noted that he was employed at Sears-Roebuck, Chicago c1936.
