BRITISH COLUMBIA ARTISTS |
The Folk Craft Shop was active in Vancouver in 1946. They had a sales outlet at
David Spencer Ltd. department store on Hastings Street.
Their letterhead noted that they specialized in British Columbia handicrafts. They assisted the Canadian Handicraft Guild of B.C. with a large exhibition of spinning and weaving at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1946, from February 12 to March 3, exhibiting 200 items.
Letter to A.S. Grigsby after the exhibition: The group was affiliated with the B.C. Weaver's Guild. |
