Cyril Connorton was born in Victoria, and married Lizbeth Grimison in Victoria on January 16, 1934.

He exhibited work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the 1939 Vancouver Island Exhibition.

He died in Victoria, his employment noted as "Queen's Printer."
