George Andrew Hood Baxter

George A.H. Baxter was born in Glasgow, Scotland.

He exhibited work in the 1939 Vancouver Photographic Society first annual exhibition.

He was on the Salon Committee for the 1940 and 1946 exhibitions of pictorial photography.

Baxter had solo exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1943 and 1944. He exhibited in the 1946 7th Annual Vancouver International Salon of Pictorial Photography exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The artist was living in North Vancouver.

Baxter died on Salt Spring Island in 1978 at the age of 88. His occupation was noted as "Retired - B.C. Telephone Purchasing Agent."
