Vancouver Photographic Society

? - 1905 - ? - 1939 - 1948 - ?

The Vancouver Photographic Society was listed in the 1905 City directory at 905 West Georgia Street, presumably related to the work of Philip Timms (q.v.). That was also the address for the Art Emporium starting that year.

That society - or another one founded in the same name - began having annual exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1939. The Society was affiliated with the Royal Photographic Society (England) and the Photographic Society of America.

For officers and members of the group refer to the 7th Annual Exhibition catalogue.
