I wandered into LOST LAGOON art and framing store in the Denman Mall this week to ask if they
would be interested in showing and selling my artwork. Miko Abuyen, the Owner, was very enthusiastic
about having my work on consignment. As a result, I have taken a number of matted and framed original
drawings and original limited edition prints to the store, as well as a selection of unframed limited
edition prints, and a number of Sim Publishing artist cards.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
I was born in Vancouver in 1951, and started drawing as soon as I could hold a crayon.
Currently I do drawings from life or from my imagination (such as The Adventures of Noman),
as well as drawings, etchings, and linocut relief prints based on my digital and 35mm photography.
I have had a wide variety of jobs including log cabin builder, telephone central office equipment
installer, blaster, and BC RAIL Rock Gang Foreman. From 1989 to 2019 I worked for architectural firms,
half of that time doing Construction Administration, traveling to job sites all over the province.
I have tried to visit everywhere in BC, so far without success, but have recorded dozens of trips
taken for work or for pleasure. These experiences are the main source of my artwork: the ocean,
islands, boats, mountains, birds, animals, and history of British Columbia.
