Maude Amelia Sharp was born in England. She came to Canada c1891, and had lived in B.C. for "59 years" at the time of her death in 1971.

She exhibited work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in a 1947 solo exhibition of 31 English etchings.

She died a widow in Coquitlam at the age of 87, noted as being a "housewife, at home" for 59 years up until 1964. Her daughter L.M. Masse of Burnaby witnessed her death certificate.
