Harry Philip Seguin was born in St. John, New Brunswick. He came to British Columbia c1930 and lived in North Vancouver, according to an exhibition entry form. He married Elaine Lydia Krause on March 4 1933. The registration form noted that Sequin was a cook, and his wife a teacher.

He had a solo exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1935.

In 1935 and 1936 he exhibited his work in the annual B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
