Harold (Hal) Albert Pym

Harold A. Pym was born in Wasall Midland, UK. He was educated in England, and married
Margery Pomfret. During World War Two he was employed as an artist creating posters to
support the war effort, three of which are illustated below:

After the war he moved to Canada, where he lived in Vancouver for some time. In 1961
he illustrated an 8-page coloured comic titled The Saga of British Columbia,
consisting of a number of historical stories of "Adventure Romance History in the
Great Canadian West."

In 1968 he submitted one artwork to the final B.C.
Artists' exhibition SPECTRUM '68 at the Vancouver Art Gallery,
a painting that was listed as "N.F.S." and the title not provided.
Pym died in Salmon Arm at the age of 87, survived by his wife. His occupation
was listed as "artist" on the death certificate.
