The Saga of British Columbia
This is the first page of an 8-page coloured comic that was "created and
litho'd in Canada by Evergreen Press Limited" in 1961. It is illustrated
by Harold Pym, an artist who was born and trained in
England. On this page two sailors Cass and Tom arrive in Victoria, save Judge Begbie from
a beating, and are about to cross the Strait of Georgia in search of gold. Cass
and Tom were probably the only men in BC without a beard.
