Island Arts and Crafts Society - List of Exhibitors
""Eventide" by Mrs. Harvey, is a scene in Switzerland. A gray and primrose sky leans to
the green-gray water, where a boat with billowing sails is speeding silently."
From "Semi-Annual Exhibit by the Vancouver Sketch Club"
by Alice M. Winlow
British Columbia Monthly, June 1923
"Those exhibiting included ... Mrs. R.G. Harvey ..."
From "Sketch Club Semi-Annual Art Exhibition"
B.C. Ladies' Mirror, December 15 1923
"Mrs. Harvey's view in Sooke Harbor shows distant mountains
covered with snow and delicious cloud effects."
From "Impressions of the Sketch Club" by
Alice M. Winlow
British Columbia Monthly, March 1924
"Among the still lifes is a rather unusual one from the brush of
Mrs. Garnham-Harvey compounded of ivy, cut tulips and a broken
flower pot. The painting makes this strange juxtaposition seem natural."
From "Exhibition of B.C. Society of Fine Arts (Second Notice)"
Vancouver Province, May 9 1924
"Mrs. Harvey's Study in Still Life shows an upturned flower-pot
filled with ivy. Tulips of red, white and yellow lie in artless abandon, their leaves lying
so delicately soft and natural one feels like touching them."
From "Exhibition of the B.C. Society of Fine Art" by
Alice M. Winlow
British Columbia magazine, June 1924
"Others exhibiting were ... Mrs. R. Harvey, ... "
From "Private View Precedes Sketch Club Exhibition"
