William George Doubt was born in Trail, B.C. in 1926. He graduated from the Vancouver School of Art in 1948. He exhibited in 1948 and 1949 in the Stanley Park in Pictures exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

He had a solo exhibition at the gallery in 1949, and was in the 1950 B.C. Artists exhibition there as well. He was living in Trail, B.C.
