Elizabeth Dickinson was born in Liverpool, England, as was her husband Frank Dickinson, who was a "lecturer - public speaking." She arrived in Canada c1908, moved to BC 11 years later, and to Nelson c1935.

She exhibited work in the B.C. Artists annual show in 1945, and also had work in the 1944 British Columbia At Work exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. She was living in Nelson in 1945.

Dickinson died in Nelson in 1971 at the age of 86, predeceased by her husband, her occupation listed as "at home."
