BULLEN, Harry Elder Born May 21, 1880, in London, England; son of George William Bullen; educated Dulwich College, near London, England; trained for civil engineer, but took up photography; at twenty-one was commissioned to make a collection of photographs of the English Cathedrals for publication; entered the photographic business in Vancouver; official photographer to the B.C. Electric and other large corporations during their construction of Dams, Power Houses; Married June 20, 1907, Frances Mary Louise, daughter of William Nunes of British West Indies Civil Service; two sons and one daughter; Anglican. Clubs: Vancouver and New Westminster Photographers Association; Vice-Pres. Pacific Coast Photographers Assn. Recreations: Tennis, golf. Studio, 2608 Granville St., Vancouver. Bullen died in Vancouver in 1963 at the age of 83. He had retired as a photographer in 1953, after a "total time spent in this occupation" of "57 years." He was survived by his wife Lucy Deacon, and his son Claude.
