John (Jack) William Douglas Boothe
August 20 1910 - August 18 1973
Jack Boothe was born in Winnipeg in 1910 and died in Vancouver
in 1973. He was a cartoonist for the Vancouver Daily
Province, and also taught cartooning at the
Vancouver School of Art night school classe . He had solo
exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery
in 1941 and 1943. The 1943 exhibition had 92 pictures in it.
Boothe died in North Vancouver in 1973 from cirrhosis of the liver. He
was married to Aileen Marjory Brownrigg.
