Watercolour - (Savary Island)
Maud Rees Sherman

This watercolour was one of a number of paintings given to the Author by the late Mrs. Joan Dendys, a long-time friend and neighbour of the Sherman family. The scene was identified by the late Daryl Duke as Savary Island, and members of the Savary Island Heritage Society further identified these two trees as "the Witch Trees." I was unable to locate them on the island because they are no longer in existence. The picture was framed at Spencer's Department Store in Vancouver.
