Exhibition of water colour paintings of animal and bird life
by Robert Hubert Savery

Vancouver Art Gallery
May 18 - 30, 1937

From the South Country of England; educated in London and for sometime past, a resident of Canada. Interest was first aroused in his work when he exhibited under Albert Gilbert R.O.I. and Harry Roundtree the well known animal illustrator. He spent six years' study at the London Zoo and Museum of Natural History. His subjects are mostly animals and birds, and, while he has gained favorable comment from time to time for his woodcarving of these, it is his paintings, with their vividness of action and colour, that have proved of interest to all who love animals.
