Winona O'Byrne was born in Victoria.

She exhibited work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the 1945 B.C. Artists annual exhibition. The artist was living in Sardis.

O'Byrne owned a convenience store in Sardis, where both Winona Road and O'Byrne Road are named after her.

O'Byrne died in Chilliwack in 1985 at the age of 71. Her occupation was noted as "Housewife - at home."
