Arthur Morton

Arthur Morton was born in Scotland in 1885. He came to Canada c1904, and moved to Vancouver c1919. He was employed as a Civil Servant by the Dominion Department of Agriculture, from which he retired in 1933 after 17 years of employment.

He was a student at the Vancouver School of Art, receiving a special pass for fourth year classes in Spring 1937.

He exhibited in the 1946 Atelier Club Annual Exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Morton was married to Miriam Cole Morton when he died in 1956, age 70.
