Each artist biography is divided into seven main sections:
1. The artist's name, including optional spellings, single and married names, and nicknames.
2. The artist's dates of birth and death, if known.
3. Groups and associations that the artist associated with.
4. A biographical summary of the artist.
5. A summary of exhibitions, both solo and group, linked to transcribed
exhibition catalogues.
Solo exhibitions that are transcribed will have a link to that catalogue
Transcribed group exhibitions will have works listed with
links to the full catalogue.
6. A summary of reference material where the artist has information published
about them.
7. A summary of reviews with the artist mentioned, linked to transcribed reviews.
Well-known artists who have numerous bibliographic references or monographs tend to have shorter biographies, as material is easily available in libraries for research. Obscure or earlier artists tend to have more detailed biographies whenever sufficient information makes this possible.
