Gooch exhibited with the B.C. Society of Fine Arts in the 1921 annual exhibition.
He was an Active Member of the B.C. Art League in 1925. The List of Members noted that he was living at Benacre Ranch, Crawford Bay at that time.
Gooch died in Nelson, B.C. in 1929 at the age of 63. His widow Anne died September 2 1950 in Victoria at the age of 72.
