Harold Edward Garman

Harold Garman was born in Manchester, England. He came to BC c1912, and moved to Victoria 18 years later.

He exhibited work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the 1943 B.C. Artists exhibition. The artist was living in Victoria.

The 1943 Victoria City Directory does not list Garman, but the 1944 Directory notes "Garman, H.E., emp Boeing r 329 Vancouver." The 1946 Directory lists Garman as "hlpr Can Govt" and the 1955 Directory lists "Garman, Harold emp Can Govt" at the same address.

Garman died in Victoria in 1966 at the age of 64, his occupation noted as "retired Civil Servant" at which he had worked for 21 years. He was single.
