Emery exhibited artwork in the 1938 B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

He died in Burnaby in 1966. His occupation was listed as "commercial artist" and had worked as such for twenty-five years up until September, the month before his death. He was survived by his wife.
