Elsie De Veu Forbes was born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Both of her parents were from England.

She is listed in the 1927 Vancouver Social Register. She was living at home with her parents at 4561 Marguerite, a member of the B.C. Art League. Her father Francis G. Forbes was a retired Judge.


1927 memberships

The 1927 City Directory lists her as an art teacher at that address.

She submitted three brush and ink drawings to the 1949 B.C. Graphic exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery, one of them was selected for the exhibition.

She died in a private hospital in North Vancouver at the age of 96. She was single, occupation noted as "secretary - legal."
